Arabic Summer Program for Japanese Students -2024
EJUST started its Arabic Summer program on August 19th. The Arabic course aimed to allow Japanese students visiting from various Japanese universities to communicate in Arabic, especially the Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, to help them interact with Egyptians during their journey in Egypt. The students were introduced to both Egyptian and Islamic culture during their lectures as they were taught Arabic Colloquial basics through classroom activities: songs, games, and role-plays to allow them to interact and exchange with their peers and to integrate more into Egyptian society. The students have enjoyed movie night and social gatherings during their stay till the 25th of August. The program focused on developing pronunciation and intonation skills by singing, reciting, and repeating words and phrases in context while improving the listening and writing skills during activities supported by oral, written and visual material.
EJUST's First Music Band
Dr.Ahmed Madkour, Professor of Music Technology at LACC, has founded ,trained ,and orchestrated EJUST's first music band which has given amazing performances at the open campus opening ceremonies on the 25th & 24th of August as well as the LACC exhibition. The music band consists of 8 extremely talented EJUST students ; Hamza Ahmed , Fares Basem, and Mohamed Faysal all from Pharm D as well as Mohamed Elbery, Reem Mohamed , Ahmed Negm , and Adnan Ahmed FOE , and Hazem Ahmed from CSIT. The oriental music pieces played by the band and their live performances delighted and attracted the audience at LACC's exhibition during the campus tour .
Joint Event With Kadol Japan
On Sunday , August 18th , our Japanese Department held a joint event with the Japanese company KADOL during EJUST's Japanese Language summer intensive course in order to train students on how to effectively use the Japanese language to improve their conversation and fluency skills. The students were actively engaged in group work and practical training throughout the event with their Japanese instructors.
EJUST Students Attend Japanese Embassy's Music Concert
The Japanese Ambassador has invited three of our EJUST students to attend the music concert organized by the Japanese Embassy at the Ambassadors' residence in Cairo on July 3rd . Our students have represented EJUST as a hub for cultural exchange in Africa and the Middle East. This participation represents the collaboration between our university and our Japanese partners.
Japanese Language Club Activities: EJUST Students Prepare Traditional Japanese Sushi
As part of the LACC language clubs activities that aim at introducing EJUST students to the traditional Japanese culture, customs and traditions, the Japanese Language Club has had a cooking session activity as students prepared Japanes Sushi.
EJUST student wins the first place in the "Public Speaking Competition " & a trip to Japan.
Ahmed Safwat , the second year CSIT student , has won first place in the "Public Speaking Competition" in addition to a trip to Japan for two weeks during the participation of EJUST team of students in the competition which was organised by the Japanese embassy in Cairo Opera House to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Japanese Language Department at Cairo University. The celebration was attended by members from all Egyptian universities .
Professor Amr Adly , the President of Egypt Japan University for Science & Technology , congratulated the winner and stressed the importance of organizing such student competitions for EJUST students in order to introduce them to the Japanese Culture and traditions as part of EJUST's strategic plan for cultural exchange and as an important step in facilitating students' access to the international job market.
EJUST Participates in the Sports and Law Conference: “Mechanisms for Enhancing Professional Effectiveness for Arab Sports Arbitration Institutions"
A Delegation from E-JUST attended the Sports and Law conference held under the patronage of H.E. Ashraf Sobhy on April 28th with the participation of Prof. Adel Al-senn, Dr. Hatem Mahmoud, Dr. Amal Gomaa, and 10 of our prominent sports champions. Prof. Adel held a session on "Qualifying Sports Arbitrators" during the conference activities. The conference has been a success and an important step in the direction of spreading awareness among Egyptian youth and young athletes in particular .
The Genstart Entrepreneurship Camp
The Genstart Entrepreneurship Camp is a collaborative initiative between CINTECH, the incubator team, and IEEE EJUST SB. The event was sponsored by the Safir project. This camp is designed to embrace the student's entrepreneurial skills and provide them with the knowledge to boost their idea to the market. Camp Description: The camp consists of sessions and workshops related to the topics of innovation entrepreneurship, ideation and design thinking, business development, business models, financial basics, and pitching for investors. Fifty E-JUST students from different faculties participated in the event. The teams who completed the two days of training successfully will have the opportunity to participate in the E-Club entrepreneurship competition and the International IEEE entrepreneurship competition.
Tokyo Metropolitan High School’s Visit to E-JUST
Prof. Takao Kikutchi represented the LACC during the Tokyo Metropolitan High School’s visit to EJUST organized by RIA Office. He gave a lecture to 12 students on Heritage Science in Alexandria and organized a visit to one of the archeological sites in Borg Al-Arab (Abu Mina Site)
JICA Alumni Association Visit to E-JUST
On December 24th , 2024 LACC Organized a visit from The JICA Alumini Association to EJUST to review the latest progress that the university has achieved since their last visit in 2015. Prof Amr Adly welcomed the Visitors and Dr Ahmed Romozi gave a presentation about E-JUST then, they had a tour in the university.
The 2nd Visual Arts Exhibition
After the Success of the 1st Visual Arts Exhibition held on December 2022 incorporation with the Fine Arts Sector at the Ministry of Culture – Alexandria . Coordination are now underway between Dr Ahmed Awaad and the Ministry of Culture to hold the 2nd Version of the exhibition as part of the Youth Exhibition on Jan 3rd 2024.
Culture Workshop - bibliotheca alexandrina
Dr Amal Refaat , 3 JICA members and 4 students will Represent E-JUST in the International Culture Event titled :
“Around the World in one Day” organized by bibliotheca Alexandrina on Nov 29th 2023.
Participants will be from Spain , France , Germany, Iraq , Syria and Sudan.
